Aemetis Inc. on Oct. 3 announced that its Aemetis Biogas subsidiary has completed initial construction of a multi-dairy anaerobic digester to process waste from approximately 14,000 dairy cows in Merced County, California.
Lummus Technology and Next Wave Energy Partners LP announced the production of the world's first renewable alkylate. This renewable alkylate, derived from ethanol, is a biobased, low carbon intensity fuel blending component.
Through federal and state funding incentives, higher ethanol blend infrastructure is going in—and ethanol gallons sold are going up.
UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has announced sugarcane processing and ethanol production during the first half of September remained higher than last year despite the impact of recent fires. Ethanol sales were up slightly.
The USDA’s Commodity Credit Corp. has announced that it does not expect to purchase and sell sugar under the Feedstock Flexibility Program for crop year 2024, which runs from Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2025.
