The Surface Transportation Board on Sept. 26 announced that it intends to renew the charter of the Rail Energy Transportation Advisory Committee, which provides guidance on the rail transport of energy resources, including biofuels.
The U.S. Grains Council’s Latin America (LTA) Regional Ethanol Consultants Freddy Villao and Juan Sebastian Diaz traveled to El Salvador in September to discuss terms of an MOU to assess an ethanol blending program in the country.
Badger State Ethanol is updating and expanding its grain processing facility to produce 90 MMgy of ethanol along with corn oil and CO2. As a result, surplus processing and support equipment will be sold via a timed online auction.
The Renewable Fuels Association elected officers and its board of directors on Sept. 26 at its annual membership meeting in Des Moines. Erik Huschitt, CEO of Badger State Ethanol, was re-elected as chairman of the organization.
Evident on Sept. 21 announced that World Energy has become the first user of its new, international global standard for SAF. The certification scheme, named Fly-i, will work in a similar way to the procurement of RECs.
