Safety is paramount, with adherence to MSDS guidelines for handling chemicals and participation in safety programs such as lockout/tagout and food safety regulations. Additionally, the operator will cross-train with colleagues to ensure adequate coverage and may engage in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs. Other duties may be assigned to support a safe and reliable operation.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of milling experience; an associate degree in Milling Technology or a related field is preferred. Experience in a grain handling facility is also desirable. The individual should be able to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures for plant operations and equipment. Basic computer skills, including data entry, are required, along with strong communication, time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. A keen attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
