Corn ethanol opponents in California achieved a small victory on April 25 after the state assembly natural resources committee approved a bill that would make corn ethanol ineligible for state funding and repeal the state's ethanol incentive program.

Oversupply, oil price, spring cleaning contribute to less ethanol

The U.S. DOE's Energy Information Administration has been reporting a continuous decline in ethanol production since early April, down to 865,000 barrels per day, or about 36 million gallons per day, for the week ending on April 15.
