Engineering begins on Iogen-based cellulosic plant in Brazil Iogen Energy Corp. announced an initial investment by Raizen Group to develop a commercial cellulosic ethanol project in Brazil. Syngenta, Plymouth Energy partner to use Enogen trait technology Syngenta Corp. in North America announced it has signed a commercial agreement with Plymouth Energy of Merrill, Iowa to use grain featuring Enogen trait technology. USDA announces sixth grant to develop advanced biofuels The USDA announced a $10 million grant has been awarded under the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative to research shrub willow, switchgrass and miscanthus grown on marginal and abandoned lands, such as reclaimed mine sites, in the Northeast. Advanced BioEnergy to sell Neb. plant to Flint Hills Advanced BioEnergy LLC has announced plans to sell its Fairmont, Neb., ethanol plant to Wichita, Kan.-based Flint Hills Resources. The transaction is expected to close later this year and is subject to regulatory approval. READ MORE SHARE
