Ineos declares commercial cellulosic ethanol online in Florida The congratulations are coming in as Ineos Bio announced that its Indian River BioEnergy Center is now producing cellulosic ethanol at commercial scale. ZeaChem earns EPA registration to generate cellulosic RINs ZeaChem Inc. has announced that the U.S. EPA confirmed the successful registration of its demonstration biorefinery in Boardman, Ore., to generate cellulosic biofuel renewable identification numbers (RINs). READ MORE SHARE

Gevo brings new fermenter and separation system online Gevo Inc. announced it brought its second 1 million liter fermenter and Gevo integrated fermentation technology (GIFT) separation system online at its facility in Luverne, Minn. Low sugar price may result in additional ethanol feedstock supply If the USDA fails in its current efforts to keep domestic sugar supplies low and prices high, ethanol producers may get access to sugar that has been removed from the human consumption market. Cellulosic biofuel RINs generated in June The U.S. EPA has released renewable identification number (RIN) generation data for June, reporting that both cellulosic biofuel and cellulosic diesel was produced during the month, along with 1.11 billion renewable fuel RINs. READ MORE SHARE
Green Plains announces positive second quarter, restarts plant Green Plains Renewable Energy Inc. announced positive results in its second quarter, which ended June 30. The company purchased its tenth ethanol plant in the quarter, completing restarting it last week. READ MORE SHARE

Report: EU biofuel consumption increased in 2012 EurObserv'ER has released its annual Biofuels Barometer, reporting increased biofuel consumption within the European Union last year.
