USDA offers additional sugar to bioenergy producers under FFP The USDA's Farm Service Agency has made a second solicitation under the Feedstock Flexibility Program for Bioenergy Producers. E85 is increasingly price competitive in areas of the Midwest While ethanol has been cheaper than gasoline on a per-gallon basis for several years, ethanol's lower energy content often meant that consumers paid more per mile when using E85.
