Commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol refinery opens in Italy Beta Renewable and Novozymes has marked the official opening in Northern Italy of the world's largest advanced biofuels facility. Coshocton Ethanol restarts as Three Rivers Energy in Ohio Three Rivers Energy LLC, Coshocton, Ohio, will begin grinding corn Monday, Oct. 14, bringing the long-idled 50 MMgy plant back online. Highwater moves forward with corn oil technology installation Corn oil separation technology being installed at Highwater Ethanol LLC is expected to be completed this winter, with corn oil production expected in early 2014. EIA revises 2014 ethanol production forecast in October STEO The U.S. Energy Information Administration has published the October issue of its Short-Term Energy and Winter Fuels Outlook (STEO), noting that the ethanol industry is beginning to show some recovery from last year's drought. South Africa to mandate biofuel blending starting in 2015 The Republic of South Africa's Department of Energy recently announced that the country will begin requiring biofuels to be blended with gasoline and diesel starting Oct. 1, 2015.
