Cellulosic biofuel, diesel RINs generated in October The U.S. EPA has published renewable identification number (RIN) data for October, reporting that D3 cellulosic biofuel and D7 cellulosic diesel RINs were generated during the month. Dyadic addresses biofuels, biochemicals in Q3 results Dyadic International Inc. recently released financial results for the third quarter, reporting revenues of $3.5 million, up from $2.5 million for the same period of last year. BioPower signs joint venture agreement for cellulosic ethanol BioPower Operations Corp. has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Global Energy Crops Corp. entered into a 50-50 joint venture agreement with Alternative Green Today LLC to license the joint venture's cellulosic production technology. EPA schedules 2014 RFS public hearing On Nov. 21, the U.S. EPA published a notice in the Federal Register announcing a public hearing will be held on Dec. 5 in Washington, D.C. on the 2014 renewable fuel standard (RFS) proposed rule. READ MORE SHARE
Waukon Feed Ranch now offering E15 in Northeast Iowa Waukon Feed Ranch in Waukon, Iowa, announced Nov. 18 it will begin offering E15 to 2001 and newer vehicles, making it Iowa's ninth registered E15 retailer. READ MORE SHARE
Codexis shelves CodeXyme product for cellulosic fuels, chemicals Biocatalyst producer Codexis Inc. recently released its financial results for the third quarter of 2013, reporting that it will immediately begin to wind down its CodeXyme cellulase enzyme program for the production of cellulosic sugars. Florida port reports high ethanol movements by rail The Tampa Gateway Rail facility, Florida's only dockside unit train for ethanol and other cargos, has transported more than 3.89 million barrels of ethanol in 5,705 railcars in its first year of operation, reported the Tampa Port Authority. Beta Renewables technology to make ethanol, bioglycols in China M&G Chemicals announced a second-generation biorefinery in China to convert 1 million metric tons of biomass into ethanol and bioglycols. United Ethanol to contest OHSA violations filed after fatality United Ethanol LLC, a 48 MMgy plant located in Milton, Wis., has chosen to contest the Occupational Safety and Health Administration violations announced in late October, after a worker was fatally engulfed in corn inside a grain storage bin. E15 now available in northern Illinois A ribbon cutting has marked the beginning of E15 availability in Rochelle, Ill. Ethanol producer Illinois River Energy, owned by GTL Resources USA Inc., teamed up with the Rochelle Petro Travel Plaza to begin offering the higher level blend. READ MORE SHARE
