EPA punts: Agency delays 2014 RVO determination into next year The U.S. EPA announced Friday morning it would not be finalizing the 2014 renewable volume obligation requirements (RVO) by the end of the year. EPA November RIN data shows increased cellulosic production The U.S. EPA has published renewable identification number (RIN) generation data for October, reporting that more than 1.4 billion RINs were generated during the month across all five categories, including more than 7 million cellulosic RINs. 	House passes bill that would impact EPA rulemaking On Nov. 19, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that aims to prohibit the U.S. EPA from proposing regulations based on science that is not transparent or not reproducible by a vote of 237 to 190. READ MORE SHARE
Fuels Institute report predicts increased E85 sales through 2023 The Fuels Institute recently published a study that predicts a substantial increase in E85 sales over the next several years. At minimum, the report predicts E85 sales will double by 2023. Under certain circumstances, the growth rate could be higher. READ MORE SHARE
Abengoa releases Q3 results, highlights Hugoton plant startup Abengoa recently released third quarter financial results, reporting positive performance for the company's biofuels business. For the first nine months of the year, the company reported overall revenues in line with those achieved in 2013. READ MORE SHARE
EPA releases updated biogenic emissions framework The U.S. EPA has released a revised framework for assessing biogenic CO2 emissions from stationary sources, along with a memo that provides regulatory guidance on how the framework will impact the Clean Power Plan and certain permitting requirements.
