Abengoa highlights Hugoton plant during half year investor call Abengoa has released half year financial results, reporting revenues of EUR 3.39 billion ($3.71 billion), up 3 percent when compared to the first six months of the prior year. Murphy USA’s Texas ethanol plant achieves record yields Murphy USDA Inc. has released second quarter financial results, reporting that its ethanol plant in Hereford, Texas, achieved record yields during the quarter and first six months of the year. 	Aemetis criticizes RFS rulemaking delays during investor call Aemetis Inc. has released second quarter financial results, reporting revenues of $38.1 million, down from $57.2 million during the same period of 2014. Celebrating a decade of success: The RFS turns 10 This Saturday marks 10 years since the Energy Policy Act of 2005 containing the original renewable fuel standard (RFS) was signed into law. ADM reports Q2 operating profits of $724M, down 13% from 2014 Archer Daniels Midland Inc. reported adjusted earnings per share of 60 cents for the quarter ended June 30, down from 79 cents in the same period last year. Rail group leads The Andersons Q2 earnings, ethanol performs well The Andersons Inc. reported solid results for the second quarter with net income of $31.1 million, or $1.09 per diluted shared. Last year's Q2 net income was $44.3 million, or $1.56 per diluted share. READ MORE SHARE
Novozymes full-year profit outlook maintained in H1 earnings On Aug. 6, Novozymes released its interim report for the first half of 2015, reporting that sales to the bioenergy industry were up by 2 percent organically compared with the first half of 2014, however, overall, sales growth slowed in bioenergy. Corn use for fuel ethanol up in June The USDA recently published the August edition of its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report, noting total corn consumed for alcohol and other uses was 493.1 million bushels in June. Corn for fuel alcohol was 440.8 million bushels. READ MORE SHARE
UNICA: Prioritization of ethanol production continues UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has reported that mills in the country's south-central region continued to prioritize ethanol production during the first half of July. Gevo highlights corporate developments during investor call Gevo Inc. has released second quarter financial results, reporting revenue of $8.9 million, up from $7.7 million during the same period of 2014. USDA accepting comments on Monsanto genetically engineered corn The USDA recently opened a public comment period on a preliminary plant pest risk assessment and draft environmental assessment for maize designated as event MON 87403, a Monsanto corn that has been genetically engineered for increased ear biomass. RFA applauds EPA for recalculating 2014 ethanol export estimates The Renewable Fuels Association has applauded a decision by the U.S. EPA to recalculate ethanol export estimates for 2014.
