USDA: Corn use for fuel alcohol up slightly in November


On Jan. 4, the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service published the January edition of its Grain Crushing and Coproducts Production report, showing total corn consumed for alcohol and other uses was 484.5 million bushels in November.

EIA publishes updated state-level ethanol consumption data


On Dec. 18, the U.S. Energy Information Administration published 2014 state-level estimates for fuel ethanol consumption. The data shows the U.S. consumed nearly 320.1 million barrels (13.44 billion gallons) of ethanol in 2014.
