	EIA slightly increases 2016, 2017 ethanol production forecast The U.S. Energy Information Administration has released the March edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, reporting that ethanol production is expected to average slightly more than 2015 level of 966,000 barrels per day this year and next year. House hearing focuses on DOE loan guarantee program On March 3, two subcommittees associated with the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology held an oversight hearing on the U.S. Department of Energy’s loan guarantee program. RFA: Absolute Energy celebrates 10th anniversary The Renewable Fuels Association congratulates Iowa ethanol producer Absolute Energy for celebrating its 10th anniversary. The company was formed in early 2006 and began construction of its St. Ansgar, Iowa, ethanol plant in June 2006. READ MORE SHARE
USDA: Corn use for fuel alcohol down slightly in January The USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service recently published the March edition of its Grain Crushing and Co-Products Production report, noting total corn consumed for alcohol and other uses was 491.3 million bushels in January. Abengoa releases 2015 results, reports lower ethanol margins Abengoa recently released condensed consolidated financial statements for the second half of last year, reporting that it generated nearly EUR 5.76 billion ($6.34 billion) in revenues and EUR 515 million in EBITDA during 2015. USDA: March report makes few changes to feed grain supply, demand USDA made only small changes to its monthly supply and demand report, including a 9 million bushel reduction in corn use for ethanol in the last marketing year. READ MORE SHARE
Ethanol industry commends swift action on DDGS antidumping case Growth Energy and the Renewable Fuels Association recently sent a letter to President Obama urging swift action to “mount an aggressive defense of our access to the Chinese livestock feed market.” The administration took action in less than a week.
