EPA: 1.62 billion RINs generated in May The U.S. EPA has published renewable identification number (RIN) data for May, reporting nearly 1.62 billion RINs were generated during the month, bringing the net total for the first five months of the year to 6.76 billion. READ MORE SHARE
Maine governor issues anti-ethanol executive order On June 20, Maine Gov. Paul R. LePage issued an executive order mandating state agencies give purchasing preference to gasoline blends with 5 percent or less ethanol when those fuels are of a comparable cost to higher ethanol blends. EPA approves Heartland Corn Products’ efficient producer pathway The U.S. EPA recently approved an efficient producer fuel pathway for Heartland Corn Products’ 104 MMgy ethanol plant in Winthrop, Minnesota.
