US ethanol production ties weekly record The U.S. ethanol industry has tied the weekly ethanol production record it set in July, with production once again reaching an average of 1.029 barrels per day the week ending Aug. 12, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. READ MORE SHARE

Lightning causes feedstock fire near DuPont cellulosic facility A lightning strike is the suspected cause of a second fire that has impacted feedstock storage areas associated with DuPont’s cellulosic ethanol plant in Nevada, Iowa, in August.
