Brown signs bills extending California GHG reduction targets On Sept. 8, California Gov. Edmond Brown signed legislation strengthening the state’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by requiring the state to cut emissions to 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. READ MORE SHARE
	New York proposes updated fuel regulations allowing for E15 On Aug. 24, the New York Department of Agriculture and Markets published a proposed rule in the New York State Register proposing to update the state's fuel regulations to allow for the sale of E15 in model year 2001 and newer vehicles. EIA increases ethanol production forecast for 2016, 2017 The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently released the September edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, predicting ethanol production will average approximately 990,000 barrels per day in 2016 and 2017. READ MORE SHARE
Report predicts increased ethanol production in the Philippines The Philippines recently filed an annual biofuels report with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network, noting ethanol production is expected to increase through next year due to the buildup of capacity. ACE debuts online E15/flex-fuel roadmap for gasoline retailers A new tool developed by the American Coalition for Ethanol for gasoline and ethanol retailers is available online starting Sept. 8. Gevo to supply Lufthansa with renewable jet fuel Gevo Inc. recently announced that it has entered into a heads of agreement with Deutsche Lufthansa to supply Gevo’s alcohol-to-jet fuel (ATJ) from its first commercial hydrocarbons facility, intended to be built in Luverne, Minnesota. READ MORE SHARE
