The U.S. Energy Information Administration has released the February edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, predicting U.S. fuel ethanol production will average 1.01 million barrels per day in 2017 and 2018, up slightly from 2016.

Green Plains Inc. reported profitable fourth quarter and year-end results, with earnings before taxes and depreciation of $174.4 million and a net income of $10.7 million, or 28 cents per diluted share.

ADM corn processing performs well in Q4; annual earnings down


Archer Daniels Midland Co. reported a strong fourth quarter, making up for what was described as difficult marketing conditions for much of 2016. ADM reported Q4 net earnings of $424 million. For the year, earnings before taxes were at $1.82 billion.
