RFS comment period closes, more than 44,000 comments submitted


The comment period on the U.S. EPA’s proposed rule to set 2018 renewable volume obligations (RVOs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard, along with the 2019 RVO for biomass-based diesel, closed Aug. 31. More than 44,000 comments were filed.

RFA: Hurricane Harvey fuel waiver should relax E15 restrictions


In a letter to EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, the Renewable Fuels Association said the full potential of the agency's Aug. 30 fuel waiver "can only be realized if EPA relaxes certain additional regulatory requirements related to the sale of E15.”

Japan considers allowing US ethanol to meet biofuel mandate
