The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service has released the September edition of its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report, announcing total corn consumed for alcohol and other uses reached 509 million bushels in July.

The U.S. Grains Council arranged for a group of Mexico-based energy and economy media members to travel to Denver and Chicago in August to learn about U.S. ethanol production, integration in the agricultural economy, and regulations and standards.

DMT to supply desulfurization process to California AD facility


DMT Clear Gas Solutions recently announced that Calgren Dairy Fuels LLC is going to install DMT’s desulfurization technology, Sulfurex BR. The anaerobic digestion facility is located adjacent to Calgren Renewable Fuels LLC, a 55 MMgy ethanol plant.

IRFA: E15 now available at 135 stations across Iowa


In recent weeks four Iowa retailers have added E15 as a new fuel choice at 10 stations. Kwik Star added E15 to seven stations, while Kum & Go added the fuel blend at one station. Two independently owned stations also began offering E15.
