DuPont announces plans to sell cellulosic ethanol plant


DuPont Industrial Biosciences has announced plans to sell its 30 MMgy cellulosic ethanol plant in Nevada, Iowa. The move comes almost exactly two years after the company celebrated the grand opening of the facility in October 2015.

EPA registers Enerkem to sell cellulosic ethanol under the RFS


Enerkem Inc. has received approval from the U.S. EPA to sell cellulosic ethanol produced at its Edmonton, Alberta, facility under the U.S. Renewable Fuels Standard. Enerkem expanded the Edmonton facility to produce ethanol earlier this year.

In a landmark development for Minnesota's ethanol industry, there are now 202 stations in the state that offer E15. In 2014, there were 17 stations offering E15 in Minnesota. In 2015, that total rose to 27 and nearly tripled to 61 stations in 2016.
