EIA maintains 2018, 2019 ethanol production forecasts The U.S. Energy Information Administration has published the February edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, maintaining its January forecast that ethanol production will average 1.03 million barrels per day in both 2018 and 2019. UNICA: January sales of hydrous ethanol set record UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has announced that sales of hydrous ethanol set a new record in January, reaching a total of 1.36 billion liters (359.27 million gallons), up 51.77 percent when compared to January 2017. Report shows potential of emerging ethanol industry in Ecuador A new report shows that Ecuador may be a promising new market for ethanol. Novozymes reports solid sales growth for bioenergy segment Novozymes has released 2017 financial results, reporting solid sales growth. Overall, the company achieved 4 percent organic sales growth. In the bioenergy segment, sales grew by 11 percent for the full year and 14 percent during the fourth quarter. READ MORE SHARE
ADM releases 2017 results, expects increased ethanol exports Archer Daniels Midland Co. has released fourth quarter financial results, reporting reduced operating profit for the quarter and full year. Profits in the bioproducts segment, which includes ethanol, were down for the fourth quarter, but up for 2017. READ MORE SHARE
SIRE reports reduced revenue, increased ethanol production Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy has released financial results for the fiscal first quarter of 2018, reporting net income of $1.2 million, or $88.62 per unit, down from $5.6 million, or $422.60 per unit, for the same period of the previous year.
