EPA sets 2019 cellulosic waiver credit price at $1.77 The U.S. EPA has published a notice on its website setting the cellulosic waiver credit (CWC) price for 2019 at $1.77. The price is slightly lower than the CWC price for 2018, which was set at $1.96 in December 2017. READ MORE SHARE

House passes 2018 Farm Bill The U.S. House of Representatives passed the $867 billion 2018 Farm Bill by a vote of 369 to 47 on Dec. 12. The legislation will now be sent to President Trump’s desk. Trump is expected to sign the bill. READ MORE SHARE
Senate passes 2018 Farm Bill On Dec. 11, the Senate voted 87 to 13 to pass the 2018 Farm Bill. The vote came one day after House and Senate ag committee leaders released the text of the 2018 Farm Bill conference report. The bill will now be considered by the House. READ MORE SHARE
EIA maintains 2018, 2019 ethanol production forecasts The U.S. Energy Information Administration has released the December edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, maintaining its November forecasts for 2018 and 2019 ethanol production, but making slight changes to quarterly production forecasts. WASDE reduces 2018-’19 forecast for corn use in ethanol The USDA has reduced its forecast for 2018-’19 corn use in ethanol in the December edition of its World Agriculture Supply and Demand Estimates report. The report also predicts reduced corn imports and larger ending stocks. READ MORE SHARE
The Andersons to implement ICM technologies at multiple plants ICM Inc. and The Andersons Inc. have announced plans to implement value-added technologies in multiple ethanol plants operated by The Andersons. The Andersons will license FST Next Gen, SMT V2, and TS4. READ MORE SHARE
ICM to design, engineer ACA Bio plant expansion in Argentina ACA Bio Cooperativa Limitada, the ethanol arm of the Asociación de Cooperativas Argentinas, plans to invest $53 million to expand its existing production facility in Argentina. Green Plains, Optimal Fish Food form aquafeed joint venture Green Plains Inc. and Optimal Fish Food LLC. Announced Dec. 12 the companies have formed Optimal Aquafeed, a 50/50 joint venture to produce high-quality aquaculture feeds utilizing proprietary techniques and high-protein feed ingredients.
