EPA denies requests to extend comment period on E15/RIN rule The U.S. EPA has denied two requests to extend the comment period for its proposed E15/RIN market reform rule. 	Whitefox announces startup of ICE system at ACE Ethanol Whitefox Technologies Ltd. has announced the successful start-up of its Whitefox ICE system at ACE Ethanol’s plant in Stanley, Wisconsin. ADM announces plan to spin off 3 dry mill ethanol plants Archer Daniels Midland Co. has announced plans to create a new ethanol subsidiary that will include the company’s three dry mill ethanol plants, located in Columbus, Nebraska; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Peoria, Illinois. READ MORE SHARE
Valero: Ethanol earnings down, renewable diesel sales up Valero Energy Corp. released first quarter 2019 financial results April 25, reporting significantly reduced income for its ethanol segment. Novozymes reports drop Q1 bioenergy sales Novozymes released first quarter 2019 financial results April 24, reporting a 4 percent drop in sales. Bioenergy sales were down 8 percent due primarily to weaker performance of the U.S. ethanol industry, which was impacted by flooding. READ MORE SHARE
EPA: 32.61 million cellulosic RINs generated in March The U.S. EPA has released renewable identification number (RIN) generation data for March, reporting that nearly 1.59 billion RINs were generated during the month, including nearly 32.61 million cellulosic RINs. READ MORE SHARE
ABFA files for injunction against EPA to prevent additional SREs The ABFA filed a motion April 24 for a preliminary injunction to prevent EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler from granting any additional small refinery exemptions (SREs) until the resolution of its pending lawsuit against EPA.
