New York approves E15 sales The New York Department of Agriculture and Markets published a notice of adoption in the New York State Register on Nov. 20 allowing the sales of E15 within the state. The move opens the fourth-largest fuel market in the U.S. to sales of E15. READ MORE SHARE
Poet-DSM halts Project Liberty production over RFS mismanagement Poet-DSM Advanced Biofuels LLC, a joint venture of Royal DSM and Poet LLC, announced Nov. 19 it will pause production of cellulosic ethanol at Project Liberty and shift to R&D focused on improving operational efficiency. Governors urge Trump to remove gasoline’s deadly aromatics Leaders of the Governors’ Biofuels Coalition sent a letter to President Trump on Nov. 25 requesting that he urge the U.S. EPA to enforce a provision of the CAA that requires the reduction and elimination of toxic carcinogenic aromatics from gasoline. UNICA: Domestic sales of hydrous ethanol set new monthly record UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has announced that domestic sales of hydrous ethanol by mills in the south-central region of Brazil record set a new record in October, reaching 2.11 billion liters (557.4 million gallons). EPA seeks comments on E15 information collection request The U.S. EPA is seeking comments on a proposed extension of a recently expired information collection request regarding recordkeeping and reporting requirements associated with the agency’s waivers to allow certain vehicles to be fueled with E15.
