Inslee urges Washington legislature to adopt Clean Fuel Standard Washington Gov. Jay Inslee visited the Port of Seattle on Jan. 10 to call on the state legislature to adopt a Clean Fuel Standard during its 2020 legislative session. 	Suncor challenges EPA ruling to deny its SREs applications Oil refiner Suncor Energy U.S.A. Inc. has filed a petition for review with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals challenging the EPA’s decision to rule its refinery complex located in Commerce City, Colorado, is ineligible to receive SREs under the RFS. January WASDE maintains forecast for corn use in ethanol The USDA maintained its 2019-’20 forecast for corn use in ethanol in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released Jan. 10. The forecast for corn production increased slightly. READ MORE SHARE
Nebraska Corn Board, Casey’s partner on higher ethanol blends The Nebraska Corn Coard has provided grant funds through its blender pump incentive infrastructure program to help Casey's General Stores upgrade existing fuel pumps at 12 locations to offer Unleaded88, a 15 percent ethanol blend. EPA sets 2020 cellulosic waiver credit price at $1.80 The U.S. EPA posted a notice to its website Jan. 8 announcing the Renewable Fuel Standard cellulosic waiver credit (CWC) price for 2020 is $1.80. The price is slightly higher than the 2019 CWC price, which was set at $1.77 in December 2018. READ MORE SHARE
EPA approves SIRE’s D6 RIN pathway Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has received approval for a pathway for D6 renewable identification numbers (RINs) generated from non-grandfathered ethanol. The U.S. EPA approved SIRE’s pathway in late November last year. READ MORE SHARE
USDA recruits participants for trade mission to North Africa The USDA is recruiting interested U.S. exporters for its first 2020 trade mission, which will take place in Casablanca, Morocco, on March 16-19. The mission will focus on boosting U.S. agricultural exports to all of North Africa. READ MORE SHARE
