CEC awards $14 million in energy efficiency grants to Aemetis Aemetis Inc. announced Jan. 28 that its subsidiary Aemetis Advanced Fuels Keyes Inc. has received from the California Energy Commission two grants for a combined total of $14 million to implement upgrades at its corn ethanol plant in Keyes. Corn use for fuel ethanol at 457 million bushels in November The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for January, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol production in November was up when compared to both the previous month and November 2018. Manitoba to implement cleanest fuel standards in Canada Manitoba will have the cleanest fuel standards in Canada by increasing the ethanol and biodiesel content of its transportation fuels as it implements its Made-in-Manitoba Climate and Green Plan, Premier Brian Pallister announced on Jan. 21.
