Governors’ Biofuels Coalition urges EPA to reject gap year SREs The Governors’ Biofuels Coalition sent a letter to U.S. EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler on June 29 urging the agency to deny the 52 gap year SREs oil companies have filed in an effort to circumvent the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeal's Jan. 24 ruling. Blue Flint plant advances CO2 project, receives $3.4M grant Midwest AgEnergy Group, the parent company of Blue Flint, announced on June 25 the company has received a $3.4 million grant from the North Dakota Industrial Commission and is moving forward with a CO2 capture and storage project. 	Rex resumes production at NuGen Energy plant in South Dakota Rex American Resources Corp. filed an 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 29 announcing it has resumed production at its NuGen Energy facility, a 150 MMgy ethanol plant located in Marion, South Dakota. EIA: Ethanol production up 6%, weekly ending stocks down 2% U.S. ethanol production was up more than 6 percent the week ending June 19, while ethanol stocks fell by nearly 2 percent, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 24. READ MORE SHARE

	Corn use for ethanol falls to 245 million bushels in April The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for June, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol production fell to 245 million bushels in April, down significantly from both the previous month and April 2019. ADM to expand production of industrial alcohol in Clinton, Iowa To help meet continuing high demand for hand sanitizer, ADM on June 23 announced it is significantly increasing production of industrial alcohol at its Clinton, Iowa, corn processing complex.
