EPA issues proposed consent decree related to SRE court challenge The U.S. EPA on Jan. 4 published a notice of a proposed consent decree that would require the agency to issue a decision regarding a 2019 SRE petition filed by United Refining Co. by Feb. 19. USDA expects no actions under Feedstock Flexibility Program The USDA’s Commodity Credit Corp. announced on Dec. 23 that it does not expect to purchase and sell sugar under the Feedstock Flexibility Program for crop year 2020, which runs from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021. READ MORE SHARE
	Green Plains completes sale of Texas plant Green Plains Inc. on Dec. 28 announced that its subsidiary, Green Plains Hereford LLC, has completed the previously announced sale of its ethanol plant located in Hereford, Texas, to Hereford Ethanol Partners L.P. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: Ethanol production down 4%, stocks up 1% U.S. ethanol production was down 4 percent the week ending Dec. 25, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Dec. 30. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol increased by more than 1 percent. READ MORE SHARE
Corn use for fuel ethanol at 433 million bushels in October The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for December, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol production reached 433 million bushels in October, up from the previous month, but down from October 2019.
