CHS expands E15 availability through additional fuel terminals CHS Inc. has announced it will expand access to higher ethanol blend fuels by offering E15 through 10 additional fuel terminals starting in early April 2021. The company has offered E15 through its McFarland, Wisconsin, terminal since January 2021. READ MORE SHARE
	EPA issues final rule to extend RFS compliance deadlines The EPA on March 23 published a rule extending the RFS compliance and attest engagement deadlines for 2020. The attest engagement deadline for 2021 was also extended, along with the 2019 compliance and attest engagement deadlines for small refiners. READ MORE SHARE
USGC seeks applications for Ethanol A-Term members The U.S. Grains Council has announced it is now accepting applications for its seven Advisory Teams (A-Teams), including the Ethanol A-Team, for the 2021-2023 term. Applications can be submitted through April 30. READ MORE SHARE
EPA: 1.26 billion RINs generated in February More than 1.26 billion renewable identification numbers were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in February, down from 1.54 billion reported for the same month of last year, according to data released by the U.S. EPA in mid-March. Bill includes Clean Cities funding to support alternative fuels Legislation introduced by the 32 democratic members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee on March 11 could provide federal funding to support the development of alternative fuel infrastructure and expanded use of alternative fuel vehicles. IEDA award supports ethanol production at Verbio’s RNG plant The Iowa Economic Development Authority on March 19 announced it has awarded tax benefits through the High Quality Jobs program to Verbio Nevada to support a project that aims to integrate ethanol production at the RNG production facility. EIA: Ethanol production down 5%, stocks up 2% U.S. ethanol production fell by 5 percent the week ending March 19, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on March 24. Fuel ethanol stocks were up more than 2 percent. READ MORE SHARE
Smith, Capito introduce bill to extend 45Q tax credit Sens. Tina Smith, D-Minn.; and Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.V.; on March 25 introduced the Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage Tax Credit Amendments Act. Green Plains completes sale of Ord, Nebraska, plant Green Plains Inc. on March 23 announced that its subsidiary, Green Plains Ord LLC, has completed the previously announced sale of its ethanol plant located in Ord, Nebraska, to GreenAmerica Biofuels Ord LLC for $64 million, plus working capital.
