Valero reports strong Q2 for ethanol, renewable diesel segments Valero Energy Corp. released second quarter financial results on July 29, reporting improved earnings for its ethanol and renewable diesel business segments. Lawmakers ask Regan to prioritize RFS rulemakings A group of 29 members of Congress on July 30 sent a letter to U.S. EPA Administrator Michael Regan urging the agency to prioritize rulemaking to set RFS RVOs for 2021 and 2022, along with the biomass-based diesel RVOs for 2022 and 2023. EIA: Fuel ethanol production down 1%, stocks up 1% U.S. fuel ethanol production was down more than 1 percent the week ending July 23, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on July 28. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up 1 percent. READ MORE SHARE
ADM reports significant Q2 improvement in ethanol earnings Archer Daniels Midland Co. released second quarter financial results on July 27, reporting that earnings for its Carbohydrates Solutions segment, which includes ethanol, were almost double those reported for the same period of last year. Growth Energy: EPA fails to restore 500 million lost RIN gallons July 28 marks the four-year anniversary of the July 2017 ruling in Americans for Clean Energy v. EPA.
