Missouri bills aim to incentivize sales of higher biofuel blends


Two separate bills currently pending in the Missouri Legislature aim to establish tax credits to incentivize fuel retailers to offer higher blend of ethanol and biodiesel. Both bills are currently being considered by a House ag committee.

EIA: Biofuel feedstock consumption up in November


U.S. ethanol and renewable diesel production capacity expanded in November while biodiesel capacity was down, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Jan. 31. Total feedstock consumption was up slightly when compared to the previous month.

Valero reports strong Q4 for renewable diesel, ethanol


Valero Energy Corp. released fourth quarter financial results on Jan. 27, reporting the Diamond Green Diesel expansion project was completed ahead of schedule. The company also reported strong results for its ethanol segment.

Reynolds introduces biofuels bill, recognizes IRFA


Iowa Gov. Reynolds introduced legislation on Jan. 24 that aims to increase consumer access for E15 and B20 fuel blends. The following day she issued a proclamation declaring Feb. 27 as Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Day.

Archer Daniels Midland Co. released fourth quarter financial results on Jan. 25, reporting strong ethanol margins for the three-month period. The company is optimistic about ethanol going into 2022 and expects production to grow.

Poet – Portland completes construction on renewable CO2 addition


Poet has completed construction on an addition to its Poet Bioprocessing – Portland facility. This addition allows the facility to capture renewable CO2, a co-product of Poet’s bioethanol production process, to be sold for commercial use.
