Canada publishes final Clean Fuel Regulations The Canadian government on June 29 published final Clean Fuel Regulations, which will require fuel producers and suppliers to meet increasingly stringent carbon reduction goals for gasoline and diesel. READ MORE SHARE
	USDA: US planted corn acreage down 4% U.S. farmers have planted an estimated 89.9 million acres of corn in 2022, down 4 percent when compared to last year, according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service’s Acreage report, released June 30. READ MORE SHARE
Ethanol industry leads energy sector in employing veterans A study released June 28 by the DOE found that the U.S. ethanol industry once again leads the nation in the share of its workforce that is comprised by military veterans, with one in six employees previously serving in the armed forces. EU’s Transport and Tourism Committee agrees on SAF goals Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) on the Transport and Tourism Committee on June 27 voted 25 to six in favor of adopting a draft negotiating mandate on the ReFuelEU aviation rules, which sets a goal for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) use. 	Corn use for fuel ethanol production at 415M bushels in April The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for June, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol in April was down when compared to the previous month, but up when compared to April 2021. EIA: Fuel ethanol production down slightly, stocks down 3% U.S. fuel ethanol production was down slightly the week ending June 24 while stocks were down more than 3 percent, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 29. READ MORE SHARE
USDA expects no actions under Feedstocks Flexibility Program The USDA’s Commodity Credit Corp. announced on June 29 that it does not expect to purchase and sell sugar under the Feedstock Flexibility Program for crop year 2021, which runs from Oct. 1, 2021 through Sept. 30, 2022. READ MORE SHARE
