Inflation Reduction Act welcomed by ethanol groups Senate democrats on on July 27 announced an agreement to add the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 to the FY2022 Budget Reconciliation bill. 	Grassley introduces Next Generation Fuels Act Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, on July 26 introduced the Next Generation Fuels Act, which aims to leverage higher-octane fuels to improve engine efficiency and performance. Rep. 	Western New York Energy launches high-purity alcohol Western New York Energy has completed a $38 million expansion to produce high-purity alcohol products under the ClearSource brand. The 6,000 square-foot expansion will enable WNYE to produce 15 million gallons of alcohol annually. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: Fuel ethanol production down 1%, stocks down 1% U.S. fuel ethanol production was down more than 1 percent the week ending July 22, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on July 27. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol were also down 1 percent. READ MORE SHARE
Study shows Nebraska’s ethanol industry continues to expand The Nebraska ethanol industry produced over 2.25 billion gallons in 2019, resulting in a value of production for ethanol and co-products of greater than $4.04 billion, according to a new University of Nebraska–Lincoln study.
