Study: Access to E15 would save drivers $20B in annual fuel costs Growth Energy has released a study conducted by ABF Economics that found that nationwide access to E15, a 15 percent ethanol blended fuel, could save drivers billions in annual fuel costs, create new jobs, and return billions to the U.S. economy. CoBank: Ethanol production down in Q3, but profitability remains CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange released its latest quarterly report on Oct. 17. While U.S. ethanol production continued to trend down as the third quarter ended, CoBank stressed that profitability within the industry held. READ MORE SHARE
	USDA: 2022 corn production down 8% from last year U.S. corn production is forecast at 13.9 billion bushels for 2022, down 8 percent when compared to last year, according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service’s latest Crop Production report, issued Oct. 12. READ MORE SHARE

EIA: Ethanol production up 5%, stocks up 1% U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by nearly 5 percent the week ending Oct. 7, according to date released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 13. Ethanol stocks were up by nearly 1 percent. READ MORE SHARE
	CropEnergies reports record revenue for fiscal Q2 European ethanol producer CropEnergies AG on Oct. 12 reported that the company achieved record revenues of EUR 450 million during the fiscal second quarter of 2022, the three-month period ended Aug. 31. READ MORE SHARE
EIA lowers its forecasts for 2022, 2023 fuel ethanol production The U.S. Energy Information Administration reduced its forecasts for both 2022 and 2023 fuel ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Oct. 12. Toyota pilots flex fuel hybrid technology in India Toyota on Oct. 11 launched a flex fuel pilot project in Delhi, India, using a vehicle that features its Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle Technology (FFV-SHEV), which can use fuels containing 20 percent to 85 percent ethanol. USDA reduces forecasts for corn use in ethanol The USDA reduced its forecast for 2022-’23 corn use in ethanol in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released Oct. 12. The agency also slightly lowered its estimate for 2021-’22 corn use in ethanol. READ MORE SHARE
MN Bio-Fuels concludes months-long E15 promotional campaign The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) concluded a five-month E15 promotional campaign in the Twin Cities metro area on Oct. 6 at a Winner station in St Paul. Promotions were held at 12 different gas stations. READ MORE SHARE
