USDA seeks public input on IRA’s biofuel infrastructure funding The USDA will host a virtual listening session on Nov. 3 that focuses on Section 22003 of the Inflation Reduction Act, which provides $500 million in biofuels infrastructure funding. EIA: US biofuel capacity reaches 21.37 billion gallons in August Total U.S. operable biofuels production capacity was down slightly in August, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Oct. 31. Feedstock consumption for August was down when compared to the previous month, but up when compared to August 2021. READ MORE SHARE
	Valero reports profitable Q3 for renewable diesel, ethanol Valero Energy Corp. released Q3 financial results on Oct. 25, reporting both its renewable diesel and ethanol operations were profitable during the quarter. The company also said additional renewable diesel capacity will be online next month. READ MORE SHARE
ADM reports strong Q3 despite reduced ethanol earnings Archer Daniels Midland Co. released third quarter financial results on Oct. 25, reporting significantly higher results for its Carbohydrate Solutions business segment despite reduced ethanol margins. READ MORE SHARE
ePURE: EU keeps CO2-netural fuels on the radar Negotiators from the European Parliament, Council and Commission have provisionally agreed to a plan that targets the phase out the internal combustion engine by 2035. 	EIA: Ethanol production up 2%, stocks up 2% U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by nearly 2 percent the week ending Oct. 21, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 26. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol were also up 2 percent. READ MORE SHARE
Summit Carbon Solutions announces progress in North Dakota Summit Carbon Solutions has submitted an application to the North Dakota Public Service Commission for the transportation component of its CCS project. USDA: Corn use for fuel ethanol at 432 million bushels in August The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for October, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol production in August was down when compared to the previous month, but up when compared to August. 2021. LanzaTech provides update on new demo facility in Canada LanzaTech has partnered on a next-generation bioreactor demonstration facility at the City of Edmonton’s Waste Management Centre that is expected to improve the economic viability of an integrated biorefinery. NextChem awards LanzaTech process design contract NextChem has kicked off the engineering phase of its Hydrogen Valley waste-to-chemical project in Italy.
