Kum & Go celebrates the holidays with a discount on E15 The family-owned convenience store chain Kum & Go is celebrating the holidays with a promotion on E15 fuel. The company will price E15 for $1.99 per gallon from Dec. 23 through Dec. 26. Kum & Go currently offers the fuel blend at 198 locations. READ MORE SHARE
	EPA: 1.94 billion RINs generated in November The U.S. EPA on Dec. 15 released data showing more than 1.94 billion renewable identification numbers (RINs) were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in November, up from 1.78 billion generated during the same month of last year. READ MORE SHARE
LanzaJet marks milestone on its Freedom Pines Fuels construction LanzaJet on Dec. 13 joined government officials, industry leaders, and investors to celebrate a major construction milestone at the LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels facility in Soperton, Georgia. EPA opens registration for Jan. 10 hearing on RFS ‘set’ rule The U.S. EPA is now accepting registrations for a virtual public hearing to be held Jan. 10 on its proposed RFS “set” rule, which includes RVOs for 2023, 2024 and 2025 and outlines the agency’s plans for the generation of e-RINs. Growth Energy urges EPA to hold Midwest hearing on RFS proposal Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor wrote to U.S. EPA Administrator Michael S. EIA: Ethanol production down 2%, stocks up 5% U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by nearly 2 percent the week ending Dec. 9, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Dec. 13. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol expanded by 5 percent. READ MORE SHARE
CropEnergies diversifies operations, continues production in UK U.K. ethanol producer CropEnergies in early December announced that it will continue operations at its Ensus production plant in Wilton, U.K. The company also announced plans to build a renewable ethyl acetate plant in Germany. Growth Energy flags twisted facts from Reuters, again Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor has released a statement in response to a highly misleading article from Reuters about ethanol’s climate benefits.
