EPA: 2022 RFS RIN generation reaches 21.27 billion The U.S. EPA has announced 1.89 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in December, down from 2.02 billion generated in December 2021. Total RIN generation for 2022 reached nearly 21.27 billion, up from 19.93 billion generated in 2021. READ MORE SHARE
CoBank reports solid Q4 performance for US ethanol industry U.S. ethanol production during the fourth quarter of 2022 nearly caught up to pre-COVID levels despite falling energy prices and lower gasoline demand, according to the latest quarterly report released by CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange. 	RFA: Ethanol ‘blend wall’ demolished in 2021 As higher ethanol blends like E15 and E85 continued to expand in the marketplace in 2021, thirty-five states and the District of Columbia blasted through the so-called 10 percent ethanol “blend wall,” according to the RFA. READ MORE SHARE
Gevo provides update of Net Zero 1 SAF project Gevo Inc. currently expects to make a final investment decision on its Net Zero 1 (NZ1) project during the second half of this year, according a company and project update released Jan. 19. EIA: Ethanol production up 7%, stocks down 2% U.S. fuel ethanol production was up 7 percent the week ending Jan. 13, surpassing 1 million barrels per day for the first time in a month, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Jan. 19. Stocks of fuel ethanol were down 2 percent. READ MORE SHARE

UNICA: Ethanol production, sales up in late December UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has released data that shows ethanol production by mills in the south-central region of the country was up during the second half of December. EU ag outlook includes forecasts for biodiesel, ethanol demand The European Commission has published its annual EU agricultural outlook, which includes projections for biofuel use through 2032.
