U.S. fuel ethanol production was down 1 percent the week ending Nov. 24, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 29. Stocks of fuel ethanol were also down 1 percent with exports up nearly 94 percent.
Corn consumption for fuel ethanol production in September was down slightly when compared to the previous month, but up significantly when compared to the same month of 2022, according data released by the USDA in November.
The U.S. EPA on Nov. 16 released updated RIN data, reporting that nearly 2.11 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in October, up from 1.81 billion generated during the same month of last year.
Aemetis expects to secure the authority to construct air permit for its proposed SAF/RD project in early 2024, according statements made during a Q3 earnings call. Company officials also discussed ongoing biogas, ethanol, biodiesel and CCS projects.
U.S. biofuels operable production capacity was up slightly in August, with a small gain for ethanol, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Oct. 31. Feedstock consumption was down slightly from the previous month.
