The South Dakota PUC on Sept. 26 issued a final order denying a permit filed by Navigator to build and operate a CO2 pipeline within the state. Navigator has paused right of way work in certain areas but said it remains committed to the project.
Operable biofuels production capacity in the U.S. expanded slightly in July, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Sept. 29. Feedstock consumption was up when compared to both the previous month and July 2022.
The U.S. EPA in September published notices approving efficient producer pathways for two Texas-based ethanol plants operated by White Energy Inc. The approvals allow the company to generate RINs under the RFS for non-grandfathered volumes of ethanol.
Aemetis Inc. closed the sale of $53 million of IRA investment tax credits generated by its subsidiary Aemetis Biogas LLC to a corporate purchaser on Sept. 29, 2023. The Section 48 investment tax credits were generated from biogas projects.
The U.S. Grains Council’s Latin America (LTA) Regional Ethanol Consultants Freddy Villao and Juan Sebastian Diaz traveled to El Salvador in September to discuss terms of an MOU to assess an ethanol blending program in the country.
