Brazil produced a record 36.83 billion liters (9.73 billion gallons) of ethanol in 2024, up 4.4% when compared to the previous year, according to data released by UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association.
U.S. fuel ethanol production was up nearly 10% the week ending Jan. 31, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Feb. 5. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol were up 3% and exports were down 41%.
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration has announced the Renewable Energy and Energy Advisory Committee will hold a meeting Feb. 12 in Washington, D.C. The event will also be streamed online.
Growth Energy on Feb. 5 applauded the release of data showing that U.S. exports of ethanol set a new record in 2024. In total, the U.S. exported 1.9 billion gallons of ethanol worth $4.3 billion in 2024,
