The U.S. exported 195.8 million gallons of ethanol and 1.03 million metric tons of distillers grains in March, according to data released by the USDA on May 6. Exports of both products were up when compared to February.
North Dakota Gov. Kelly Armstrong on April 15 signed a bill creating a low-carbon fuels fund that is designed to help the state’s ethanol producers lower the CI of the fuel they produce, which could help producers participate in the SAF market.
The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for April, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol production in February was down when compared to both previous month and February 2024.
