Responsible for the operation of the Energy Center of the plant to ensure maximum production, quantity, and quality, by monitoring plant process and equipment. Operators will work on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Perform a wide range and variety of maintenance on all process plant and wheeled equipment. Be able to perform maintenance and repairs on rolling stock equipment, including but not limited to: engines, hydraulics, brakes, and 12 volt power systems. This position will also require some fabrication skills along with GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and plasma cutting. This is a Monday - Friday position which may involve overtime and will be required to meet all call-in requirements needed. Will need to follow prescribed safety regulations and practices set by GFE.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient repair, preventative maintenance and cleaning of all equipment associated with plant processes. Team members in this position will also perform maintenance tasks on all plant equipment. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for communicating any issues with the management team. Job Summary: Responsible for the leadership and management of all production areas of the facility to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are processed on-schedule, within quality standards and meet cost objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in planning & directing production activities and establishes production priorities for product in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. Responsible for coordination of problem resolution as a result of equipment failure or operating problems. Maintain accurate production records on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis of key production variables. Manage staffing & training for the direct reports with adequate amount of overhead. Communicates regularly with all necessary personnel, both individually and as a group to ensure consistent operation among the shifts. Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and development needs of all necessary personnel. Initiate, coordinate, and carry out all production related projects. Support continuous improvement. Formulate and recommend operations policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Ensure use and inventories of processed chemicals and all other supplies are monitored. Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Learn and operate all processes associated with the plant. • Learn and operate DCS (computer control system) for the plant. • Learn startup, maintenance and shut down procedures for all physical plant units to include but not limited to centrifuges, hammermills, oil separator, CLS, and commodities transfers. • Keep accurate and timely logs. • Keep plant facilities clean. • Keep operators coming on shift briefed on what has happened and what is supposed to be done during the next shift. • Samples, tests and maintains process stream records as required by QA program and procedures. • Respond to collected data and make adjustments as needed. • Participate in the plants PSM, FSMA, and safety programs to ensure accurate and timely completion. • Responsible for notifying the shift lead of any problems and issues. • Complete any and all work tasks as assigned by the shift lead. • Safe work practices are a condition of employment; wear proper PPE as required. • Learn and operate the CMMS program. • Promote Granite Falls Energy, LLC in the community. • Maintain a team environment with all other plant employees.

Responsible for implementing and upholding Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the facility to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and Company Policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Implement and monitor Environmental, Health, and Safety by providing leadership and training programs to employees. • Develop, plan, and coordinate all record-keeping, reporting, and training for all company, state and federal health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements. • Lead the facility to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and Company Policies in EHS areas including all recordkeeping. • Conduct and lead Safety Committee Meetings.
